At the end of September, Pastor Sam Oh will be heading to Saitama, Japan for a 3-month short-term mission trip to support the launch of a new café-based ministry in partnership with Mustard Seed Saitama. This work is part of Cafe for Christ's broader vision of using cafés and cafeterias as "on-ramps" to faith — spaces where community and gospel conversation can happen naturally, alongside (not in place of) the local church.

While in Japan, Sam will help the cafe to connect to the church's outreach events like their English Cafe, build relationships within the local community, help equip and train volunteers to work in the cafe space, and start the groundwork for a 2nd cafe location possibly in Okinawa. Your partnership helps cover costs like travel and living expenses, day-to-day staffing support at the cafe, and cafe supplies.
